面向全球40岁以下青年景观设计师、连续2年推出的“百思德”杯新锐设计竞赛，以契合行业当下热点的主题，高水准的评委阵容，较高含金量的获奖作品，陆续得到海内外关注。2016年“百思德”杯新锐设计竞赛，延续往届前沿的思潮，确定了崭新的命题。这是又一次实现方案落地的机会，我们需要您展示惊艳的才华，还等什么？加入吧！

一、竞赛命题：“土壤花园”
大地是承载生命的基础，土壤是万物生长之本。土壤与风景园林行业息息相关，如何表达土壤与人类的关系、如何保护和修复土壤及其环境，是风景园林师们需要思考和解决的问题。本次竞赛提供的场地位于安徽省滁州市来安县华东（国际）风景园林产业城，面积约450m2。

三、奖项设置：
金奖（1名）：奖金50 000元人民币
银奖 (1名)：奖金20 000元人民币
铜奖（2名）：奖金5 000元人民币
以上奖金均为税前金额，获奖者需缴纳20%的个人所得税。
金奖获奖方案将由安徽省百思德农业发展有限公司实施建设。

四、参赛对象：
全球年龄不超过40周岁的设计师以及海内外在校学生均可参赛，可以个人或团队参赛，团队人数不超过3人，其中学生团队可有1-2名指导教师。参赛者可以个人或者小组的名义报名参赛，但每位参赛者或每组团队只能提交一份作品，同一参赛姓名在报名表上只能出现一次，违者将取消参赛资格。

五、场所条件
安徽省来安县属北亚热带季风气候区，温暖湿润，光照充足，雨热同季、四季分明。安徽省来安百思德现代农业产业园地处安徽省滁州市来安县舜山镇（安徽苗木种植第一镇）内，来安县城南端2.5 km，离南京80km。产业园内地势平坦、水系星罗密布、生态资源较为丰富，现状主要以水田和苗木种植为主，东面紧邻省道239（来复路）。
金奖基地位于安徽百思德现代农业产业园六大园区之一的华东（国际）风景园林产业城中间，园区规划以苗木交易大鹏、园林资材为主，配以生活酒店和苗木花卉商业街。金奖基地环湖布置，西面为大学科研基地和青少年科普基地、东为苗木交易展示馆和商业，南面和北为苗木交易棚户及苗木VIP种植区。金奖基地的建成将形成一个集科研、艺术、文化交流和景观苗木、园林资材于一体的基地，成为国内外在园林景观设计，苗木交易、科研、展示的示范区。本次竞赛的金奖基地位于湖面的东面，占地约450㎡。

六、设计要求：
将“土壤花园”作为主题，在指定地块内表达“土壤与人的关系”，以原创设计，在小尺度场所展现对生态环境保护的关注。要求体现出设计的逻辑性，巧妙地艺术与科学性，并考虑现场落地施工的操作性和建设成本控制与后期管理的便利性。

七、报名及作品提交：
1、申请注册：参赛者须事先填写参赛报名表，文件命名为“第一参赛者姓名＋百思德杯”，以word格式保存，采用附件形式于2016年8月15日24:00（北京时间）前同时提交至竞赛指定的电子邮箱。组委会将对参赛资格进行审核。通过审核者将得到一个注册号，由组委会于2016年8月15日24:00（北京时间）前通过电子邮件告知参赛者。
2、作品递交：请获得注册号的参赛者于2016年9月5日24:00前（北京时间含当天）将参赛压缩包提交至竞赛指定电子邮箱，逾期无效。邮件标题为注册号+百思德杯（如：001+百思德杯）。压缩包内包含：参赛作品（注册号.jpg 如001.jpg）和最终完整报名表（注册号.pdf 如001.pdf）。压缩包以注册号命名，以附件形式发送。
1)竞赛指定电子邮箱：bsd2016la@qq.com。请提早递交注册申请和参赛压缩包，避免因截止日投信高峰导致投递失败。
2)所有参赛作品和参赛报名表必须在同一封邮件中于2016年9月5日24:00前（北京时间）同时提交至竞赛指定的电子邮箱，逾期者无效。
3)竞赛组委会不对所提交文件的完整性负任何责任。
4)本次竞赛将于2016年10月底结束评审，并公布竞赛结果。
3、作品格式要求：
1）每个参赛作品不超过8张独立图纸、竖向排版编辑，按顺序编号1-8号，每张图纸需含必要的设计图和说明文字。图像文件采用JPG格式，100％打印时每个版面为120 cm（高）*90cm（宽）（竖向构图）。草图扫描与图文排版时按300pixels/inch（获奖作品可能要求提供原始高精度图片，以备出版之用），但最后提交时可以适当压缩，总大小不能超过10M（否则无效）。图像文件中不得出现任何反映作者、指导教师以及单位、学校等相关信息，违者将取消参赛资格。
2）设计作品中的设计说明以中文为主，标题、重点设计词汇需中英文对照。

八、竞赛时间进度：

九、参赛注意事项：
1. 参赛方案所有内容均须原创，不得包含任何侵犯第三方知识产权的行为。如发生侵权行为，组织单位不承担由此引发的任何连带责任。
2. 所有提交文件在评审后不退回给参赛者，深圳市勘察设计行业协会园林与景观分会、安徽省百思德农业发展有限公司、《风景园林》杂志社三方有权无偿使用所有参赛成果，包括任何形式的出版、展示和评价，并委托《风景园林》杂志社择优刊登获奖作品。
3. 组委会将选定金奖作品作为落地施工方案，获奖作品作者有义务承担后续施工指导。
4. 安徽省百思德农业发展有限公司对获奖方案的实施细则具有解释的权利。本次设计竞赛的其他参与机构均不承担获奖方案实施过程的任何责任。

Official announcement：2016 BSD Creative Design Competition

The competition is set for global landscape designers who are under 40 years old. 2016 will host the 3rd BSD design competition, which strives to meet the current hottest industry trends. We have strict award criteria and judging processes, which have gradually gained us attentions at home and abroad. The BSD 2016 design competition will continue to collect and award cutting-edge ideas and approaches to landscape planning. The prize winning concept will also be fully actualized. This is not a just conceptual design competition! What a great opportunity to show your amazing talent and allow you emerging designers to gain exposure. What are you waiting for? Come on!

1 Design Theme: “Soil Garden”
The land is treated as the foundation to bear lives, and the soil gives energy for all creations on land to grow up. The soil science is closely related to the landscape architecture industry. How can we best express the relationship between our activities as humans and the soil of the earth? How to protect the soil condition of a target area and restore, or even improve its environment? As a qualified landscape architect, we should be thinking about issues like these and endeavoring to provide solutions. The BSD 2016 design competition will take a real area located in Huadong International Landscape Architecture Industrial Park, Lai’an District (来安县), Chuzhou City (滁州市), Anhui Province in China. The site is in total 450 square meters of size.

Gold Prize Winner (One Entry): 50,000 RMB

All the bonus award amounts are pre-tax, and each winner will pay their own personal income tax (20%). The gold prize design project will be realized and built by Anhui Baiside Agriculture Development Company Limited.

4 Participant Qualifications
Any designers or students under the age of 40, from anywhere in the world are allowed to participate in this BSD Design Competition. Both individual and team entries are allowed, however team entries are restricted to no more than three contributing team members. If you are a student group, your team could have one or two instructors. Every entrant (whether individual or group) will only make one submission. One registration number refers to one submission.

5 The Site Context
Lai’an(来安) in Anhui belongs to the north subtropical monsoon climate region. It enjoys a warm and humid climate with adequate sunlight and different seasonal characteristics all the year along. Anhui Lai’an Baiside Modern Agriculture Park is in Shunshan Town (the top tree planting area in Anhui), Lai’an District, Chuzhou City, Anhui Province. The site in Lai’an(来安) is adjacent to the Provincial Highway 239(Laifu Road) and the Industry Park is 2.5 kilometers to the south of Lai’an and 80 kilometers from the City of Nanjing. The Industry Park has smooth terrain and is rich in water, ecological resources and currently is focused in paddy planting and nursery.
Our competition-site is in the center of the Huadong International Landscape Architecture Industrial Park, which is one of the six parks in Anhui Baiside Modern Agriculture Park. The planned vision for the Huadong International Landscape Architecture Industrial Park is to build nursery greenhouses, hotels, and host a flower fair. The site is surrounded by several lakes, with the University and Science Research Base and Science Education Base for Teenagers in the west, the nursery fair and exhibition (as well as commercial streets) to the east, and finally the Nursery Shed and Nursery VIP Plantation Area to the south and north respectively. The objective site is envisioned to be a multi-functions base for science research, art, culture exchange, landscape nursery and landscape materials. The aim is to create an international demonstration centre for landscape design, nursery trade, science, research and exhibition. The objective site is in the east of the lake, with an area of 450 square meters.

6 Design Requirements
All the design works should be based on the topic “Soil Garden”, with an emphasis on the sustainability and relationship between human-beings and soil terrain, as well as design logic. Besides, after the project construction, the feasibility, cost-effectiveness and the convenience of project-management should also be taken into consideration.

7 Registrations and Submission
1) Registration:
Fill out the registration form (Office Word document) in advance. To be unified, the document should be named as “The Author Name ＋ BSD Design Competition“ (Carl D. Johnson + BSD Design Competition).
Please send the form back to the appointed email address：bsd2016la@qq.com, on or before August 15th, 2016 (China time). Successful entrants will receive a registration number acknowledging his/her qualification for the competition. The registration number will be sent back to the participants through email on or before August 15th, 2016 (China time).

2) Submission:
All the design work should be put in package (A .rar file would be good) and submitted to the appointed email address：bsd2016la@qq.com, before September 5th, 2016 (China Time). Please set a reminder in your calendar!
Notice: Your email subject line should be accordingly named: “Your registration Number + Submission” For example, if your registration number is 021, then your email subject will be titled as: 021+Submission.
In your package, there should be two folders, one is your design folder (021) which contains no more than 8 pages (1; 2; 3; 4… 8.jpg) and another will be your original registration form. Currently, the document should add your registration number at the beginning, re-named as: 021 + Author Name ＋ BSD Design Competition. （021 + Carl D. Johnson + BSD Design Competition）
The selection process will close at the end of October, and then soon after the final results will be published.

3) Requirements:
The Submission would include the design work and a completed registration form, with no exceed of 10MB size in total.
The design work should be no more than 8 portrait layout jpegs (120cm Length * 90cm Width，300pixels/inch). The layout jpegs include design drawings and project illustrations. To play fair, any personal information should not be revealed in the design folder, for example, author name, work place or university, and any contacts etc.

8 Schedules:

Jury Review and Selection Process: September to October, 2016
Report of the Result: early November, 2016
Award Announcement and Ceremony: the end of 2016

9 Reminder:
1) All the design work should be original and creative works. The entrant should bear responsibility for any violation of the copyright.
2) All the submission will not be returned to the entrant. The Gardening and Landscape Chapter of Shenzhen Exploration and Design Association, Anhui Baiside Agriculture Development Company Limited and Landscape Architecture Journal own the right to publish and display the submission without any compensation. Landscape Architecture Journal is committed as the only publication organization for the award-winning submissions.
3) The gold-winner project will be built and the gold-winner has the obligation to provide consultant for the construction documents production and site construction.
4）Anhui Baiside Agriculture Development Company Limited has the sole power to interpret the implementation details for the construction of the gold-winning submission.
